Prof. Narin Chansri, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Khon Kaen University (KKU), jointly signed an academic cooperation agreement on nanotechnology for medical and public health application. The aim is to build a collaborative research and development network in this field.

The signing ceremony was witnessed by Dr. Pope Kosalaraksa, Director, Advanced Clinical Research Organization (ACRO), Khon Kaen University, Dr. Wiyong Kangwansupamonkon, Deputy Executive Director, Ms. Sansanee Huabsomboon, Deputy Executive Director, and Dr. Kittiwut Kasemwong, Director of Nanoencapsulation and Biodelivery Systems Research Group, NANOTEC, along with their research teams.

The academic collaboration will span four years (2025-2029) and focus on enhancing the capacity and potential of research personnel through researcher exchange, joint research, university student internships, and academic strengthening through knowledge sharing, hands-on experiences, and information exchange. The partnership also includes training programs and joint seminars. The collaboration will be pilot by a research project titled “Study on the effects of nano delivery systems and solid dispersion of black ginger extract on anti-obesity mechanisms at the gene and protein levels”, led by Dr. Mattaka Khongkhao from NANOTEC, NSTDA.
